A remarkably atmospheric mid 17th century wing back sofa of beautifully undulating form on turned under frame. Rich in colour, texture and patina, it possesses the quality found only in the finest country house furniture, an effortless sense of history, permanence and quiet grandeur.
Upholstered in a neutral ticking, complementing its strong architectural form and exceptionally sturdy, well preserved frame.
Formerly residing in The Great Hall, Luddesdown Court, as illustrated in photograph, Luddesdown Court is one of England's oldest Grade I listed medieval manor houses.
